Community Invited to Ohfishal Salmon Days Volunteer Sign-Up Party


The community is invited to attend the Ohfishal Salmon Days Volunteer Sign-Up Party on Wednesday, September 12th at Issaquah’s Pickering Barn.

“It will be all ‘Thrills and Gills’ at the 43rd Annual Salmon Days Festival, and YOU can be a part of the fun starting with the Ohfishal Volunteer Sign Up Party on Wednesday, September 12” said Festival Director Robin Kelley.

“We welcome all community members to share in the ‘thrills and gills’ of the Festival by serving as an Ohfishal Festival Volunteer” added Kelley. “Volunteers can pick from a range of activities and enjoy a delicious (and free) dinner provided by Timber Ridge at Talus and will go home with the coveted 2012 Salmon Days volunteer shirt.”

The Volunteer Sign Up Party marks the start of the countdown to the Salmon Days Festival, held this year on the weekend of October 6-7th. The Festival draws over 180,000 attendees who are able to visit the downtown salmon hatchery, shop at local and regional arts and crafts vendors, dine on amazing bites and treats from the Foods of the World food court, and participate in a host of family-friendly activities. The festival also supports over 70 Issaquah non-profit, service or charitable organizations and provides an annual estimated economic impact of over $7.5 million to Issaquah.

Who: Anyone and everyone who would like to join in and help out with the Annual Salmon Days Festival!
What: Bring your friends and family and join us for a FREE dinner catered by Timber Ridge at Talus, drinks courtesy of our friends at Coca-Cola, Talking Rain and Naked Juice, and sign up for one or more volunteer shifts for Salmon Days and receive your FREE Ohfishal Volunteer T-shirt.
