Issaquah Chamber Announces New Staff Position!

The Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce has created a full-time staff position, Membership and Tourism Sales Manager, and is encouraging all qualified applicants apply by the April 25th Deadline. The position will support the Chamber’s membership outreach/recruitment/service initiatives, as well as tourism/community promotion functions, consistent with the Chamber’s recently adopted Strategic Plan.

The successful applicant will possess experience in customer relationship management, a background in lead generation, new client prospecting and acquisition, and demonstrated sales results. Applicants with a background in the tourism/community promotion/hospitality industry, and/or with membership sales/service are strong encouraged to apply. Key attributes sought in the position include: ability to work collaboratively with a diverse and high performing team, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic and a desire to set and reach aggressive performance objectives. The position will provide integral leadership in the ongoing development of Chamber member benefits, services and programs-offerings to provide members with continued sustained competitive advantages within the greater Issaquah marketplace.

The position includes a base salary, commission eligibility and a benefits package including 401K eligibility, health care, vacation/sick/personal time, etc (in accordance with the Chamber’s Employee Handbook). Annual base salary will range from $30,000.00-35,000.00, DOE, and commission eligibility up to $12,000/year, based on performance. Expense reimbursement and other provisions may also be included. The position is a newly created, full time (exempt) position, scheduled to begin in May, 2011.
