    Chamber Coalition Finds Successes During Legislative Session

    Our Chamber Coalition had several successes in this year’s session As the 2020 legislative short session has now ended, both small business owners and workers are breathing a collective sigh of relief. Despite a flurry of bills introduced earlier in the session that would have eliminated jobs, decreased pay and increased product and service costs, only a few bills made it across the finish line to become law.     Meet Our Newest Board Member: Rob Quesnel

    Rob started out with American Family as an agent in Faribault, MN in 1988. He transferred to the national headquarters in 1991 as a sales training specialist. Three years later, he was appointed district sales manager to D-63 in New Ulm, MN. Under his management, D-63 received numerous awards. In 2000, Rob was appointed field training manager and later that same year accepted a position as field special projects manager. In December 2001 Rob was named the sales director for

    Friday morning the Greater Issaquah Chamber Board of Directors voted unanimously to oppose Initiative 976 and we urge our members, local businesses, and residents to do the same. Initiative 976 targets transportation projects funded in part by our car tab fees. The idea of an affordable standard tab fee sounds great, however in reality I-976 jeopardizes transportation projects already in the works and would eliminate future projects.
