Have You Thought About What it Takes to Go Global?

International expansion can sometimes seem like the last frontier of the startup world. The requirements are not always clear—especially in the technology space—and it can be difficult to get past the jargon to make an impact. If you’re a mid-stage technology startup and you’re interested in growing your international presence, consider Global Passport.

Join a series of workshops this winter designed to prepare your company for international business development. Held in partnership with the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle and the Washington State Department of Commerce, these workshops will cover such topics as intellectual property protection, localizing your product, and data privacy regulation.

Startup 425 Global Passport | Internationalizing Your Tech Business

Thursday, February 8 from 6 – 7:30pm

Bellevue City Hall (450 110th Ave NE)

Technology represents 17% of American exports, and the global economy only continues to grow. This presentation will focus on how to localize your product and service for high growth markets, adapt your sales and marketing strategy for specific countries, and analyze various risks associated with international business.

Startup 425 Global Passport | International Pitch

Thursday, February 15 from 6 – 7:30pm

Bellevue City Hall (450 110th Ave NE)

Get an up-close look at what it takes to pitch a technology startup in a fast-paced environment by experiencing a mini pitch competition. Technology firms will demo their products, present their marketing plan and basic pitch, and get feedback from a group of expert panelists. Open to participants.

More information on both of these workshops can be found on the Eventbrite pages or at startup425.org/passport.
