Issaquah is pleased to announce the formation of “Visit Issaquah”, a Destination Marketing Organization dedicated to promoting tourism in the region. This is an exciting team, and we are looking for a dedicated and qualified group of individuals to lead the newly-formed entity by establishing strong governance and leadership for this non-profit organization.
We are in the process of forming the first Board of Directors. This Board will be tasked with a variety of objectives, including: Bylaws, strategic planning, vision, budget and prioritizing. The Board will also create the job description for a full-time Executive Director, and will recruit and hire the future ED.
The Board terms will be divided into two and three-year terms, and Board members must be willing to dedicate approximately 3 – 7 hours/month to the organization.
We are looking for individuals in the following industries: Attractions, Entertainment, Events, Finance, Marketing, Lodging, Legal, Associations, Recreation and Restaurants.
Individuals should also possess the following strengths:
Leadership
A sound knowledge of tourism
A rich knowledge of Issaquah and its history
Experience serving on a board of directors
Experience of being a decision maker within your organization
