Chamber Announces Regional Business Summit’s Special Guest Speaker, Chris Emura

The Chamber is proud to announce Special Guest Speaker Chris Emura for the Regional Business Summit. Chris is the Executive Director of Engineering at Vulcan. Seattle-based Vulcan Inc. is the engine behind philanthropist and Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen's network of organizations and initiatives.

Chris will cover the intersection between business and technology as it relates to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and adjacent domains. He will start with a variant of The Hype Equation [1] and continue by reviewing wide swaths of the current landscape and ambition tied to AI - what's already possible and out there, or in development. Then based off audience direction, he'll dig deeper into various topics of interest during the discussion portion of the talk.

Before joining Vulcan in 2017, Chris worked and lived in Silicon Valley since the 1990s, where he led several for-profit engineering efforts in both startups and much larger companies like Apple and Dell/EMC. His professional experience spans the consumer, Enterprise, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) markets at the highest levels in terms of sales, adoption, and solutions which are still operational today.

Chris received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and his MBA from UC Berkeley.

The Regional Business Summit will be held on Thursday, April 25th at the Club at Snoqualmie Ridge. Find a full schedule and registration HERE.
