Governor Announces Updated Guidelines for Business Reopening

Governor Inslee has announced several updated guidelines as part of Washington's Safe Start phase reopening plan.


  • Museums: allowed to operate in Phase 2 counties as long as certain requirements are met and occupancy is limited to 25%, with 50% occupancy in Phase 3. Social distancing, sanitation, and methods to prevent congregation and touching are prioritized.

  • Indoor Fitness & Training: An update was made on August 26 to previously released guidelines. Updated Frequently Asked Questions concerning this document were also posted.

  • Bowling: league play and practice is allowed in Phases 2 and 3.

  • Agritourism: U-pick farms and tree farms can operate in Phase 2 counties.

  • Outdoor Recreation: in Phase 1 and Phase 2 Go-Kart tracks, ORV facilities, Motocross facilities, Raceways and other participant-only motorsports, spectators and spectator camping, spectator races and spectator events are not allowed.
