The 105-day 2019 Legislature is underway – it began Jan. 14 and will adjourn April 28. Currently being debated in the Legislature is the creation of a new 9 percent capital gains tax. While being billed as a tax on the wealthy, the tax would hurt small-business owners. The Association of Washington Business (AWB) spoke with two business owners recently about the tax proposal for our new video series.
