How Can Your Business Get Involved and Celebrate National Small Business Week?

National Small Business Week is May 5th through the 11th. Whether you own a small business or work for one, there are many ways to take part in this week-long celebration. Here are five easy ways you can take part in Small Business Week this year:

Share Your Story

You started your business for a reason. It's probably the same reason that motivates you to get out of bed in the morning, roll up your sleeves, and get the job done. Don’t keep it a secret and remind your customers why you do what you do. Just a sentence or two and a quick photo will tell your “why” and reveal the heart of your business.

Say Thank You

Who makes your business possible? A staff member, a loyal customer or someone that coaches you and is a professional mentor. Take a minute to say "thank you".

Invest in You

Throughout Small Business Week, the SBA is hosting free webinars to help you learn new skills and increase your impact. And take the time to find out what resources your local Chamber of Commerce offers to businesses that help them succeed.

Partner with Another Small Business

Strengthen your impact and reach a larger audience by joining forces with another business. Collaborate with a business that has a similar audience, so your products and services complement nicely.

Get the Word Out

Running a small business can be time consuming. Don’t miss out on Small Business Week just because you’re busy. Get the word out by sending an email announcing Small Business Week and encouraging your customers to support you.
