City of Issaquah Suspends Paper Bag Fee

Updated: Apr 16

Our thanks to Mayor Pauly for her quick response to our request to suspend bag fees and to Karl at QFC for bringing it to our attention. At the Chamber, we are the advocate for all local businesses and are always here to help.

The City has suspended the paper bag fee requirement during the state of emergency to address hygiene concerns about using reusable bags.

For those of you that business is good, we are thankful that you and your teams are here for us.

For those businesses that are struggling, please see our COVID-19 update page. We are starting to hear from banks and government agencies about relief funds.

I would like to ask that if you are looking for ways to support your community, a local non-profit, or showing thanks for our advocacy and you are not already a chamber partner, please consider joining! Your financial support helps our continued advocacy for you and other local businesses.
