Looking for Business Friendly Candidates

Residents interested in running for public office can soon file online as candidates with King County Elections.


Online candidate filing is available 24 hours a day starting at 9 a.m. May 17, 2021, and ending at 4 p.m. May 21.

If you're interested in learning more about running for office, King County Elections offers candidate resources.

City of Issaquah Offices In Issaquah, the following nonpartisan City offices will be up for election in 2021:

  • Mayor

  • City Council Position No. 1

  • City Council Position No. 3

  • City Council Position No. 5

  • City Council Position No. 7

Candidates must be registered voters at the time of filing and Issaquah residents for at least one year on Election Day. There is a fee of $1,236.91 for the Mayor seat, and $150 for Council seats (equal to 1% percent salary) due at the time of filing.
